Seyna and Mozza transform insurance claims management
Founded in 2018, Seyna builds a modern platform dedicated to insurance brokers. In just a few years, it has established itself among the leaders in the insurtech space and attracted 47M€ of funding from top-tier investors (Global Founders Capital, Allianz, Elaia...). In 2023, Seyna has joined the prestigious cohort of the French Tech Next40 program.
Through the platform, insurance brokers can co-create and swiftly launch tailored insurance products within just a month. Seyna provides the actuarial expertise, compliance knowledge, and technology to help brokers design, launch, and optimize insurance products.
Building on this success Seyna introduced "Seyna Claims", a transformative claims management solution that places control back into the hands of brokers.
In an industry that has embraced digital transformation, Seyna faced the dual challenge of modernising the claims management process and meeting the specific needs of brokers and claims handlers.
The mission was to identify the critical points in the current ecosystem and to design a strategic solution that would not only simplify claims management, but would also respond to the complex requirements of the sector.
Mozza embarked on a full product sprint combining user research, design and engineering. From in-depth interviews to ideation and prototyping, the focus was to create a user-centric platform that simplifies claims reporting and management.
User research
This phase aims to thoroughly analyze the market, the users, and the product. It begins with extensive desk research, including academic studies and competitor analysis, to establish a foundational understanding. We then conducted in-depth interviews with 24 insurance brokers to gain a comprehensive understanding of the current claims management process and the tools they currently use.
This step was crucial in helping us grasp the complexities of claims management, which vary significantly depending on the type of insurance. We also identified different personas and uncovered valuable market opportunities for Seyna Claims. These insights provided a robust foundation for developing our product strategy.
Product strategy
With the insights gained from user research, we designed tailor-made solutions aimed at enhancing the claims management lifecycle. We focused on developing several core functionalities to handle basic and simple claims more efficiently.
Special attention was given to housing and mechanical breakdown insurances, where we identified the most significant opportunities for improvement. By addressing the specific needs of these insurance types, we ensured that our solutions were highly relevant and effective.
Design and prototyping
To bring our vision to life, we created high-fidelity prototypes that accurately represented our proposed solutions. These prototypes were essential for visualizing the product and refining its features. We conducted rigorous user testing to optimize workflows and ensure the prototypes met user needs.
Throughout this process, we identified numerous opportunities to enhance the user experience further and develop tailored features that cater to every stage of the broker experience. This iterative design approach ensured that our final product was both user-centric and highly functional.
By focusing on strategic objectives and user-centric conception, this collaboration has resulted in a breakthrough platform that dramatically improves broker efficiency and policyholder satisfaction. Within two months (from kick-off to user tests), Seyna has set a new industry standard for more efficiency in claims management, and broker empowerment.
